Last weekend, the kids, MacDaddy and I headed down to Monroe - we were excited to walk around and check out the progress on the *new* Center Theater and Science Center, and to hit up one of Monroe's newest additions!
Blake Barnes, the creator of Common Market, and Carly Englander teamed up last year to create East Frank Superette and Kitchen on Franklin Street in Monroe and it did not disappoint. True to Barnes' style, its kitschy and fun with an incredible selection of beer, wine, coffee and snacks. And, as of this weekend - an incredible kitchen menu to round out what promises to be one of Monroe's most fun spots for families.
Whether you are looking for salads, sandwiches or even...yes: VEGAN OPTIONS.... East Frank Superette has a fun menu that is sure to delight your taste buds as much as make you chuckle.
Ok, I get it - you're wondering why this is such a fun family place. Well, aside from its no-frills atmosphere, hidden in plain sight at the back of the restaurant you'll find a game room, complete with different pinball games and a change machine.
While David and I had a beer and soup (the soup was amazing! Yes, we tried 4 different varieties), the boys were busy *playing* (or losing all our money at) pinball. It was just a fun time for us all.
If you haven't yet made it down to East Frank Superette and Kitchen, I can't say this loud enough: RUN.
