The Ultimate Greenway Guide

Getting out for a walk is one of my favorite things to do with my family or my pets - sometimes, by myself! And, lucky for us, the Charlotte area (and Union County) boast some awesome greenways that offer the perfect surroundings! Here's our roundup of our favorite local Greenways:

• Anne Springs Close Greenway
• Cane Creek Park
• Carolina Thread Trail (enter by Millbridge)

• Catawba Riverwalk / Peidmont Medical Center Trail
• Col. Frances Beatty Park 
• Four Mile Creek (Matthews)
• Freedom Park/Little Sugar Creek Greenway (Charlotte)
• Irwin Creek Greenway (Mint Hill)
• Lansford Canal (Chester, SC)
• Little Sugar Creek Greenway (Pineville) and the James K Polk Historic Site

• McAlpine Creek Greenway (Rea Road)
• Mineral Springs Greenway
• Six Mile Creek Greenway (Marvin Entrance)

As always, be aware and keep an eye out - especially if you are alone - and try to go during daylight hours when the greenways are more crowded.
