There is no better time than now to be supporting local for the most fresh, and farm to table options. North Carolina and South Carolina produce, protein, and farmers markets are so important to our communities for many reasons. Without them many family businesses and restaurants would go out of business.
Here are 12 great spots to pick your own berries and grab other locally grown goodies!

Wise Acres
4701 Hartis Road, Indian Trail, NC
Instead of just showing up, you will need to reserve a time spot online. On their website you will find a link that takes the reservations for the following few days. Wise Acres also has mandatory hand washing stations set up at the entrance to the field. Strawberry picking is limited to one family per row/per hour.
Ivy Place
8603 Van Wyck Road, Lancaster, SC
For their U-Pick Strawberries, Ivy Place is booking appointments here to ensure there are a safe number of people on the farm at any given time.
Piedmont Produce
4212 E. HWY 218, Monroe, NC
The farm offers pre-picked strawberries and U-pick strawberries. Make sure to check out their Facebook for their daily availability.
Black’s Peaches
1800 Black Highway, York, SC
Black’s Peaches currently has some u-pick strawberries and some pre-picked availability. You can find the most updated information on their Facebook.
Carrigan Farms
1261 Oak Ridge Farm Hwy, Mooresville, NC
U-Pick strawberries are available. Check out their Facebook page for daily updated information.
Deer Run Farm
4664 Hwy 24 27 E Midland, NC
With a new location for 2024 picking, the season will open the second week of April. This farm offers accessible picking in addition to traditional!
Bush-n-Vine Farm
1650 Filbert Hwy, York, SC
The strawberry availability may vary, but Bush-n-Vine offers other local produce and meat for purchase. There are some pre-picked strawberries, but make sure to check their website or Facebook daily for availability.
Springs Farms
1010 Springfield Parkway, Fort Mill, SC
This farm in For Mill offers both you-pick and pre-pick strawberries. Please keep an eye on the farm's social media for updates on availability and hours they will be open for you-pick.
Lineberger's Farm
906 Dallas Stanley Highway, Dallas, NC
Linberger's typically offers berries April through June and will announce their open date on their website and social media. In addition to picking they also have a playground and chicken coop on site for kids to enjoy.
The Hunter Farm
13624 Providence Road, Weddington, NC
Family-owned and operated, The Hunter Farm in Weddington offers strawberry picking starting in April. They also offer wagon rides and a small playground for kids to enjoy as well as a petting barn. Reservations are required and include a gallon-sized bucket.
Patterson Farm
10390 Caldwell Road, Mt Ulla, NC
This farm is great for young families looking for a fun day of play! For a single admission fee ($11 in advance), you will have access to pick-your-own berries and a full day of play at the barn and playground. If you are only interested in the fields, it's $1 to pick. Reservations and advance tickets are recommended.
Hall Family Farm
445 W Rebound Road, Lancaster, SC
Hall Family Farm is great for a full day of activities with no reservations or tickets! From a huge play area to farm animals and tractor rides, the U-Pick berries are only part of the fun. Check their website and social media for updates.
Cotton Hills Farm
2575 Lowrys Highway, Chester, SC
Cotton Hills Farm has been in the Wilson Family since 1882 and grows a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables.
