Summer Camps at Matthews Playhouse
A highlight of the year, the Matthews Playhouse Summer Camp serves over 1,000 children every summer, offering an unforgettable experience for ages 4-18.
These themed camps provide a unique opportunity for participants to explore acting, singing, and dancing in an engaging and creative environment. Whether a budding performer or a first-timer, every camper enjoys a well-rounded program designed for all skill levels, fostering growth, creativity, and confidence.
Led by professional actors, directors, musicians, and educators, the camps culminate in a showcase performance where participants step into the spotlight, sharing their hard work and talents with family and friends.
The supportive atmosphere ensures every child feels valued and encouraged as they embark on their artistic journey.
Year-Round Programs and Productions
Beyond the summer, Matthews Playhouse offers an extensive range of classes in acting, dance, musical theater, and technical theater, as well as private vocal lessons and classes for adults.
Programs such as homeschool classes and sensory-friendly initiatives cater to diverse needs, ensuring inclusivity for neurodivergent children.
Students also have opportunities to perform in the annual School of Theatre Productions, while audiences can enjoy a robust Mainstage Season featuring five professional-quality shows.
At Matthews Playhouse, the arts are not just a performance but a gateway to building confidence, friendships, and a lifelong love for creativity.
