'Tis the season to get fancy......
Our family loves a fun drink - and as someone who doesn't drink alcohol and a mom to kids who love to feel part of the fun - I went on the hunt for some really fun mocktails that our kids could also drink.
These are some of the big winners in our house:
Sparkling Apple Cider Fizz:Ingredients:
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1 cup sparkling water
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Sliced apples for garnish
- Ice cubes
Instructions:
- In a pitcher, mix apple cider, sparkling water, and honey.
- Stir well until the honey is dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into individual glasses over ice.
- Garnish with sliced apples for a festive touch.
Berry Blast Mocktail:Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- 1 cup cranberry juice
- 1 cup ginger ale
- Ice cubes
Instructions:
- In a blender, blend the mixed berries until smooth.
- Strain the berry puree to remove seeds.
- In a pitcher, mix the berry puree, cranberry juice, and ginger ale.
- Pour over ice in individual glasses.
Citrus Sunrise Splash:Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup pineapple juice
- 1/4 cup grenadine syrup
- Orange slices for garnish
- Ice cubes
Instructions:
- Fill individual glasses with ice cubes.
- Pour orange juice and pineapple juice into each glass.
- Slowly pour grenadine syrup over the back of a spoon into the glass to create a layered effect.
- Garnish with orange slices.
Blueberry Lemonade Sparkler:Ingredients:
- 1 cup blueberry lemonade (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup lemon-lime soda
- Fresh blueberries for garnish
- Lemon slices for garnish
- Ice cubes
Instructions:
- In a pitcher, mix blueberry lemonade and lemon-lime soda.
- Pour over ice in individual glasses.
- Garnish with fresh blueberries and lemon slices.
