Meet Your Burn Boot Camp Weddington Team!

It's no surprise that Burn Boot Camp has already made an indelible imprint on our Union County communities - ranging from Indian Trail to Monroe, members have been joining in droves to be part of the magic.

Magic probably isn't the right words, but they're my words - as a loyal Burn Member for more than 6 years - I can say that assembling a dynamic team, especially in these challenging times, is what makes Burn Boot Camp Weddington so special.  That, and of course, the members! So, we thought we'd introduce you to the incredible people who are keeping our community moving!

Meet Your Trainers




Robyn Dinkel ~ Lead Trainer
Robyn came to Burn like so many - she heard her circles of friends talking about it and, annoyed by this obsession they had, gave it a go. She was hooked instantaneously! That was 5 years ago - and in 2019, she decided to put her background as a UNCC Cheerleader and Cheer Coach to work on the floating floor as a support trainer. This summer, when Burn Weddington opened, she was elevated to Lead Trainer and we are the luckiest group to have her. Among her newest accolades, Robyn is currently working on her certification for pre and postnatal coaching and cannot wait to share the information with this community and put into practice what she's learning to assist a population of women who are somewhat underestimated in the fitness world.
Favorite Burn Protocol: I love to train Speed and Agility camps because of the energy, pace, and challenge the protocol requires.  But I love lower body days because I can lift my heaviest weights and feel my absolute strongest or sometimes can't but still feel equally as accomplished with any attempt.
Stress Buster: Going for a drive or taking a nap.
Your Inspiration: My co-workers and members, all the time I'm asking them to do more than they're capable of and half the time wondering if they can rise to the occasion. 99% of the time they will always attempt and succeed.  To push aside their doubt and trust the process is an incredible feat, one of which I personally was reluctant to do for myself.
Most Important Thing to Know About You: I am like a Brut Champagne - not particularly sweet and definitely can be sarcastic but still ready to celebrate whatever the occasion. [And celebrate she does - every victory, every accomplishment and every member's journey.]
Go-to Snack: Trail mix!! Power up's antioxidant mix or Granny smith apples
Sweet or Salty Cravings: Salty
Your People: The family I've built (husband, Joel and son, Grayson), my immediate and extended family.  Looking for a new fur baby to join our family in the upcoming months. I find inspiration in those around me: whether it's friends' trials or success in their lives or co-works/members who show up every day to better their lives through fitness.

Daily Uniform: Athleisure (leggings, muscle or cropped tank, low ponytail, apple watch, extra hair ties, some sort of comfy workout shoes otherwise barefoot)
Preferred Workout Shoes: No Bull trainers on strength days, Nike cross trainers on conditioning days




Savannah Reasons
Savage ... we mean Savannah ... was introduced to Burn 4 years ago as a member by her Sister-In-Law, who is one of her very best friends and joined the QC training team 6 months ago, bringing her infectious energy to Burn Weddington during its pre-opening days of outdoor pop-up camps.
Favorite Burn Protocol: Metabolic Conditioning ~ I love the intensity of the cardio mixed with some weights to bring on a good sweat. I also love push-ups and burpees, which you'll usually find in a MetCon camp.
Stress Buster: Exercise!
Your Inspiration: My Parents ~ watching them work hard (and work out hard) as a kid, taught me to prioritize my health. I went with them to the gym and some of my earliest memories are of being in the child watch room at the gym - another reason I love Burn Boot Camp so much: Free Child watch! I hope to set the same example for my own kids.
Most Important Thing to Know About You: I get it. I was a new member only 4 years ago so I do understand what it's like to step on that floor those first few times. I have always loved seeing people accomplish what they didn't think was possible, which is why I became a trainer. I love seeing people go outside their comfort zone and will always be your biggest cheerleader.
Go-to Snack: I love to switch it up, but you'll be sure to find a protein bar and an apple or banana on hand.
Sweet or Salty Cravings: Salty
Your People: My husband, Devin, our 2-year-old son, Henry and our fur baby Jackson.
Daily Uniform: Lululemon leggings and a Burn shirt!

Erika Morelock
Erika is another Burn member turned trainer, though her Burn tenure was short and sweet before taking her background in exercise science and training to the floating floor. She's no stranger to fitness and has even competed in fitness competitions!
Favorite Burn Protocol: Athletic Conditioning
Stress Buster: Cleaning the house
Your Inspiration: G-D. I'm inspired to live and love more like Him every day.
Most Important Thing to Know About You: I always plan for the worst so I can celebrate the best.
Go-to Snack: Archer beef sticks
Sweet or Salty Cravings: Sweet
Your People: GOD is my number one, my fiance, family and to-be inlaws. I love my friends and they all help to make my life quite an adventure.
Daily Uniform: I don't have one
Preferred Workout Shoes: I don't have a preferred shoe.




Syndey Harris
Sydney, or Syd as she's called by many, is the newest member of our Weddington training team, and like all the others, was first introduced to Burn by her aunt as a member!
Favorite Burn Protocol: Speed & Agility 
Stress Buster: Working out or going for a walk
Your Inspiration: My family AND the original trainer who got me interested in personal training.
Most Important Thing to Know About You: I'm easygoing, but don't be fooled. I love pushing people to be their best versions.
Go-to Snack: Fairlife protein shake or caramel popcorn
Sweet or Salty Cravings: Sweet
Your People: I have a blended family with 6 siblings, and I'm the second oldest at 18! My little sister is my world.
Daily Uniform: Leggings, tank and sweatshirt

Meet Your Experience Team




Laurie Summerland ~ Client Experience Manager
Laurie is - you guessed it - a former Burn member as well AND married to our QC Operations Manager - so to say she knows Burn inside and out is an understatement. She understands how to make our experience amazing because she's been on the receiving end as a member for more than 4 years!
Favorite Burn Protocol: Any strength day - but particularly leg day. "Never miss a leg Day" is a motto I live by, mostly so that the next one isn't exponentially harder for me!
Stress Buster: Mindlessly scroll social media - particularly Instagram - or snuggle with my 2-year-old.
Your Inspiration: Our members, who commit to themselves and show up 4-6 days a week while balancing their incredibly full lives
Most Important Thing to Know About You: I may have left a career in accounting and finance to help open the doors of my happy place, but gyms were not always part of my life. I was terrified of gyms until I stepped foot into Burn Boot Camp in my mid-thirties, and I’ve been hooked ever since. It’s the functional strength for me – it’s so useful for my everyday life as a toddler mom. I love feeling strong, and I want every person who walks in our door to also experience that conversion from scared, or whatever the initial feeling is, to hooked!  
Go-to Snack: Anything from Costco, but I'm also a sucker for chips and salsa.
Sweet or Salty Cravings: Sweet
Your People: My husband, Ross, and my two boys (ages 5 and 2). We are hoping to introduce a puppy soon.
Daily Uniform: Black leggings and a Burn shirt ~ I don't own anything else.
Preferred Workout Shoes: Nike trainers - nothing fancy - so long as they give me good support. 




Emily Robinson ~ Burn Ambassador
Em has been with Burn Boot Camp in some form or another for the last 4 years, starting her journey in Hendersonville, TN to prepare for her wedding; loving the changes she was experiencing both physically and mentally, she never left us! When her family moved here in 2021, she joined another local Burn until Weddington announced they were opening - making the move and immediately signed on to welcome and greet members as a Burn Ambassador. She loves making new friends and will talk to anyone.
Favorite Burn Protocol: Full body strength and Leg Day
Stress Buster: EEEk! I'm a nail-biter. I also try to sleep it off.
Your Inspiration: Being around people who always want to achieve more. I am inspired by those who want to be better, stronger and healthier.
Most Important Thing to Know About You: I am an extroverted introvert; I love being alone, but also love being around people. I love working in hospitality, cooking and trying new restaurants. I love to travel and plan parties.
Go-to Snack: Dark chocolate and goldfish
Sweet or Salty Cravings: Sweet
Your People: My husband and my daughter. They are my world. I met my husband at church as a teen and we married just after college.
Daily Uniform: Crop shirt and leggings - in black when possible!

Shelby Wilmer ~ Burn Ambassador
Shelbs was first introduced to Burn when she lived in Charlottesville as a grad student, joining as a Founding Member. A year later, she moved to North Carolina and has hopped around to different local Burns until finding her home at South Park. As a Weddington High School counselor, when Burn Weddington opened, she was among the first to take advantage of Founding Membership here and then jumped into being a Burn Ambassador. You'll find her filming and taking photos to post to the 'Gram (she's really good at that) and always smiling!
Favorite Burn Protocol: Arm Day and Upper Body make me feel my strongest. I also love any protocol that uses a jump rope.
Stress Buster: Walking, Epsom salt baths and cuddling with my dogs.
Your Inspiration: My dad is my biggest supporter and has overcome so much.
Most Important Thing to Know About You: I love Burn because it is one of the most supportive communities I have ever been a part of. there is nothing else like it - it feels like family. Being a member wasn't enough, I HAD to work here, too!
Go-to Snack: Granny smith apples
Sweet or Salty Cravings: Sweet
Your People: My husband and my two dogs, my dad and siblings.
Daily Uniform: I work in education, so my uniform is really pretty business casual, but if I'm not at work I live in leggings, T-shirts and a messy bun.

Renee Manocchio ~ Burn Ambassador 
Noodle - as she is called - joined Burn Weddington in July after hearing about it from her college friends on Instagram! She can be found opening the doors of Burn in the wee morning hours with the rooster crew, after a previous night coaching young girls in Charlotte Soccer Academy.
Favorite Burn Protocol: Speed and agility
Stress Buster: Working out and shopping
Your Inspiration: My parents, my husband and my kids PLUS the countless people around me who I see overcoming obstacles
Most Important Thing to Know About You: Burn is a one-of-a-kind place. I have never left a workout not feeling accomplished, exhausted and satisfied.
Go-to Snack: Peppers and hummus and apples and almond butter
Sweet or Salty Cravings: Sweet
Your People: My family is everything to me. I am married and have 4 kids and a chocolate Labrador.
Daily Uniform: For sure leggings, a high-pony and a Burn tank or coaching tee.

Daniella Blau ~ Burn Ambassador 
Daniella joined Burn this summer and was instantly hooked. She’s a load of fun to workout with, always dancing and dishing out the high fives as she pushes herself on the floating floor. It was a natural move from member to Burn Ambassador, since she was already so devoted to the Burn Weddington community. Daniella will offer you a warm smile and high five for getting out of bed with the early crew.
Favorite Burn Protocol: Lower body strength is my favorite protocol because it's when I feel my strongest.
Stress Buster: Reading
Your Inspiration: My mom inspired me. She immigrated to the US with my dad over 30 years to give us a better life. And she is currently battling stage 3 breast cancer. She is the most loving and incredible person I know.
Most Important Thing to Know About You: I truly believe Burn is for everyone that wants to learn to live a healthier lifestyle and wants put in the work because the trainers will meet you where you are and push you as you grow.
Go-to Snack: Fruit. I always have some washed and ready to eat.
Sweet or Salty Cravings: Salty
Your People: I have been married to my husband Heinz for 5 years. We have 2 little boys Benjamin who is 5 and Joaquin who is 3. They are very active and keep me on my toes. We also have 2 dogs Sophie and Milo. I've had Sophie since high school. And we adopted Milo 2 years ago.
Daily Uniform: Leggings, burn shirt, burn sweater, and hair pulled back.
Preferred Workout Shoes: Don't have one yet.




Melissa Ferry ~ Child Watch Lead
Melissa lives near Burn Weddington and was curious each time she passed our bright blue signage. One day she stopped in after seeing a post on Facebook that Burn Weddington was looking for a Child Watch Lead ... and the rest is history. She brings a great attitude and positive outlook to the team and we are so excited that she and her family moved here from Utah!
Favorite Burn Protocol: I don't have one yet.
Stress Buster: Crafting or taking a walk with my daughter and dogs.
Your Inspiration: My mom! She is the strongest person I’ve ever known.
Most Important Thing to Know About You: I can be pretty competitive and am excited to compete with myself and get stronger every day at Burn Weddington.
Go-to Snack: My go to snack is bananas and peanut butter.
Sweet or Salty Cravings: Sweet
Your People: My husband and our daughter (she’s the coolest kid and inspires me daily to be my best self). We also have 2 dogs - a boxer, and a pit mix and a cat.
Daily Uniform: I pretty much live in leggings, hoodies and some comfy shoes.
Preferred Workout Shoes: Usually Nikes but I love to be barefoot. 



Tammy Paszkiewicz ~ Burn Ambassador  
Tammy joined Burn's team before she even dreamed of trying our boot camps. But, encouraged by members and filled with admiration for those who show up every day, she decided to start taking camp and grow stronger every day!  She knows that it is hard to stay motivated, especially when you're busy with parenting and work, so she works hard to make sure that every person walking in our door feels uplifted and encouraged.
Favorite Burn Protocol: Just getting started, so all of them!
Stress Buster: Cleaning and organizing.
Your Inspiration: My co-worker (both at Burn and in my other job) Donetta Dufree!
Most Important Thing to Know About You: Community for me is so important and it’s also why I love Burn!
Go-to Snack: Almonds or peanuts, chocolate or chips
Sweet or Salty Cravings: Salty
Your People: My husband, Andy, and my adult kids: Matt, Kali, Tessa and daughter-in-law, Tori.  I also have sweet 3-month-old grand baby, Phoenix!
Daily Uniform: Jeans and nice shirt, hair up; blue is my favorite.
Preferred Workout Shoes: I don't have one yet.




Donetta Dufrene ~ Child Watch
Donetta, or Ms. Netta as the kiddos call her, joined burn this summer with a warm, loving demeanor that our Burn Kids took to immediately. She greets every single child with a smile or a hug and knows them ALL by name. She loves to make them feel like the special humans they are and knows that it makes all the difference for the moms and dads who are dropping them off. She loves this Burn community and we feel it shining through when she's with us.
Favorite Burn Protocol: Doesn't have one yet.
Stress Buster: Walking the dog
Your Inspiration: My Grandfather
Most Important Thing to Know About You: I live by the motto that life is short; take the vacation, do the thing, call the person.

Your People: My husband of 24 years, my two sons and our doodle girl, Charlie.

Meet Your Franchise Partners


Lindsay Bushnell
Lindsay is an open book - a book filled with love and encouragement! She started Burn as a member, after her youngest son was born, recovering from a C-section. She joined during a 3-week promotion and her husband said "enjoy the promotion, we can't afford the membership." After two weeks, he saw such a difference in her demeanor, confidence and happiness - and told her to join the gym.
Favorite Burn Protocol: MetCon! I love getting my heart rate up with weights and feeling STRONG!
Stress Buster: Working out, going for a walk, journaling, meditating and prioritizing my task list.
Your Inspiration: Every single person who shows up for themselves inspires me. The people who commit to themselves and continue to show up for that commitment. The people who you can see are tired but still push through. The people who don't think they are capable and prove themselves wrong. I'm so blessed to be surrounded by these people every single day.
Most Important Thing to Know About You: I wish people knew that everyone is on their own journey and Burn is here to support them whatever their journey is. There is no one-size-fits-all for fitness - showing up for your mental health is just as, if not more, important than the physical perks of exercise.
Go-to Snack: Beef jerky and Oikos triple zero yogurt with Afterburn!
Sweet or Salty Cravings: Sweet
Your People: My husband and two crazy + sweet boys #boymom. I'm also a rescue momma with 3 dogs and 1 cat. I'm officially addicted to chaos.
Daily Uniform: Leggings, burn shirt, ponytail, allllll black with a hint of neon!
Preferred Workout Shoes: I love my new Lululemon Blissful shoes.  

Melissa Price
Mel joined burn 7 years ago when a coworker was transforming her body and mind at Burn. I then decided to open one:) Burn is her second family- from the Franchise Partners to the staff to the members, Mel embodies all that Burn Boot Camp is and we love her for it!
Favorite Burn Protocol: Ohhh So many. I love a good arm day and working on the definition. I also love speed and agility because it is so hype and before I know it the workout is done.
Stress Buster: Workout or clean
Your Inspiration: So many people but mostly the women I surround myself with daily who are like-minded. My inspiration is my members who grind daily
Most Important Thing to Know About You: I am genuine to the core, I deeply care about each person I meet and if they have something that goes wrong in their lives it will hang on my mind.

Your People: My kids Alivia & Nicholas, My parent, Goldendoodles and friends that are family.
