Whenever we hit back to school time, I am so old that I start singing the "Welcome Back Kotter" theme song. Anyone else?
Really, though, we made it. We got through the summer on lazy pool days, a few too many (wine, snacks, ice creams...whatever it took) and sleeping in. Now it's time to get back to routine and I am 100000% more than ready.
But, instead of tackling your to-do list IMMEDIATELY, make today a lazy indulgent day. Sure, many of us need to work - and I get that - but maybe instead of powering through, take a longer than usual lunch or - dare i say it - even a 30-minute nap? You really do deserve it.
And for those of you who are sending your kids to school for the fist time: it's all going to be OK. I promise!
