Dear Union County,
I never thought I'd be able to call any place besides Chicago "home," but here we are - 11 years into living in the Charlotte area and there's no place I'd rather be.
And, any time I forget, all I need to do is take a drive through the wooded, undeveloped areas, surrounded by sprawling horse and working farms with sweet little business districts tucked away and nestled into gorgeous greenery.
Watching the town of Monroe come to life again, with new businesses popping up daily, and Waxhaw welcome restaurants, bars, breweries and shops to its downtown, there is so much to be said for our sleepy yet bustling county! I love our schools, with some of the best educators in the state, and our parks. I love the quiet pockets and the gorgeous night skies, filled with stars.
I love the life I am able to live here and the opportunities I can give my children.
Thank you for being the best home for me, David and the boys.
