Sometimes, it feels like we've been pre-conditioned to think "night time" when we talk about a date. But as parents and caregivers, we know that finding a good night-time sitter can often be a challenge. Maybe it's time to flip the script on dating, and start planning more daytime dates?
Here's a list of 7 ideas you can do with your special person:
- Board Games ~ Whether playing at home or heading out to someplace like The Sweet Life Cafe on Sardis Rd. in Charlotte, something about the competition and the intimacy of screen-free time makes for a perfect date. If you happen to have a bunch of games at home, you could even take that to-go; pick up some food and make it a picnic.
- Top Golf ~ This place is always a madhouse at night and on weekends, so sneak out at lunch one day and enjoy some game time, delicious eats and drinks.
- Sweat it out ~ Yoga, Running, Tennis or CrossFit; studies show that couples who exercise together tend to stay together longer. It increases your happiness as a couple and with your relationship and it strengthens your emotional bond.
- Head out on a wine tasting ~ did you know we have some pretty great wineries right here around Charlotte? Maybe hire a driver and go on a tastin tour? Here are a few you could try:
- Check out one of the amazing museums around town ~ Wednesday Night Live launched in October and will gain you admission to The Mint Museum, The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, The Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture every Wednesday from 5-9 PM as well as live entertainment at the Knight Theater,
