4th of July Festivities in Union County + The Queen City

Every heart beats true for the Red, White and Blue..... and here's your round-up of where to celebrate the 4th of July around Union County and The Queen City ~ plus a few options in Fort Mill/Rock Hill!



Join the Town of Waxhaw for an Independence Day celebration. A food truck rodeo will line up along Church and McDonald Streets for all to enjoy starting at noon. Gump Fiction (The Ultimate 90’s Experience) will play live music for those celebrating from 12 PM - 3 PM. There will be plenty of family fun activities which include: gravity jugglers, face painting and balloons.


The Town of Indian Trail is kicking off in-person events again starting with the July 3rd Parade! Come celebrate Independence Day on Saturday, July 3rd, at downtown Indian Trail starting at 11:30am!


Celebrate Independence Day with the City of Monroe on Sunday, July 4th! Find your favorite summer treat from any of the food vendors and enjoy the amusement rides beginning at 4:30 pm. Carolina Soul Band, sponsored by Union County Community Arts Council, hits the stage at 7:00 pm.  FIREWORKS begin at approximately 9:30 pm.


CHARLOTTE CELEBRATIONS 


The WBT SKY SHOW is BACK! Head uptown on July 4th and check out the amazing firework show following the Knight's home game.  

Have you heard of Freedom House? Well, this church at 2638 State Road 2469, Charlotte is hosting fireworks on July 4th. 


The Celebrate America Fireworks Show returns on July 3 and 4 at 8:45 PM! As always, Carowinds will put on an impressive display of patriotic fanfare. Reservations are required! 


Celebrate Independence Day at the Whitewater Center on July 3rd nd 4th. Festivities stretching over two days include live music from Con Brio and Moon Taxi, multiple yoga practices, and fireworks displays. Learn more at 


FORT MILL / ROCK HILL CELEBRATIONS

Baxter Village ~ This is open to all residents for participation and viewing, but unfortunately, due to COV precautions, this year's Baxter Village 4th of July Parade is not open to visitors. You can find more information HERE


Fort Mill Independence Day Festivities ~ Get ready for an exciting evening filled with food, fireworks and fun as the Town of Fort Mill hosts its Independence Day Celebration on July 3, 2021! The event kicks off at 5 p.m. with music and food along Main Street in downtown Fort Mill. Vendors and merchants will line the street, along with a selection of food and shaved ice trucks. The 246 Army Band will play a selection of patriotic music from 5 to 6:30 p.m., followed by a DJ and other musical entertainment. There will also be plenty of children’s activities, including outdoor games, face painting and balloon artists. Make sure to stop by the Main Street Bandstand at 8:45 p.m. for our Independence Day ceremony, which includes patriotic musical performances and the posting of the colors from the Fort Mill Fire Department Honor Guard. Stick around for the annual firing of the town cannons at the end of the ceremony and our highly anticipated Independence Day fireworks show at 9:15.


Red, White and BOOM! in Old Town, Rock Hill ~ Celebrate Independence Day at the Old Town Red, White & Boom event! This family-friendly event features live music, food, drinks & fireworks. And the best part: it's FREE! Fireworks at 9:30/9:45 PM

The City of Tega Cay will be celebrating all weekend long with festivities beginning on July 2nd and ending with fireworks at 9:30 on July 4th. 


The City of York will celebrate July 4th at York Middle School  (1010 Devinney Rd, York, SC 29745) with live music, inflatables, games, face painting and fireworks! There will be food vendors on-site selling hot food items, sno-cones, drinks and concession items and no outside food is allowed.
