Before Botox: What to Try Before Injectables

TBH Skincare Says "There are Options!"

By Tiffany Huber ~ TBH Skincare Spa November 23, 2020

I have worked with many clients at different stages of thought on injectables. What alternatives are there for me?  What can be done to prolong the life of my current injectables? Some clients metabolize them faster than others, some are special occasion folks. No matter your choice for or against, we hold no judgement in the treatment room!

In today's world of professional treatments and advanced products you have more choices than ever! So, if injectables just aren't quite for you (now or ever), no worries ~ here are some things you can try before you go that route (or instead of it, altogether!)

Professional Treatments

Micro channeling is a great option to create collagen and improve elasticity without the trauma to the skin. Everyone can do this treatment, even if you are pregnant or planning to be, unlike with botox and other fillers. When combined with Stem factor serums you will see immediate and corrective results. I recommend Osmosis because it contains over 600 growth factors and skin proteins.

Microdermabrasion treatments will exfoliate and increase dermal collagen and elastin in your skin. That said, not everyone is a candidate for this treatment. Some examples of those for whom this would NOT be a good treatment include would people with rosacea or broken capillaries. Typically microdermabrasion treatments are completed in a series 2 weeks apart; you will see immediate results and, as you progress, the new skin cells will increase the epidermal thickness and the skin will be plumper and smoother!

LED light stim therapy can be added to both of these treatments to enhance your results.

SKINAIDE I recommend SKINAIDE to my clients who want to boost professional treatments, or if they have a period of time they are unable to come to the spa for treatments. This collagen-producing drink does require a 90-day commitment.  **Diets higher in sugar result in a loss of elasticity and the breakdown of collagen, this is known as glycation.

At Home| Daily

  • Are you staying hydrated? Every line is accentuated when you are dehydrated.
  • Do you go to bed without a nightly routine? Free radicals from the day breakdown collagen which leads to wrinkles!
  • Are you using good anti-aging products daily that are right for you?  You can spend a lot of money on over-the-counter products that are working against your specific condition.
  • Best results come from consistency, not the number of steps.

Consult with an experienced esthetician to discuss what time you can invest and your budget to get informed on what will be your best alternative to injectables option!
