Art Classes with Free Printables

By Mary Jo & Eric More ~ Young Rembrandts South Charlotte May 11, 2020

This new "normal" is totally different for us all, how are you handling it?

These past couple of months have no doubt resulted in a roller coaster of emotions for families. The togetherness of families without some of the typical day-to-day busy schedules has likely been fun and refreshing. At the same time it's probably also caused some stresses.

How Art Can Help

"Art is unquestionably one of the purest and highest elements in human happiness. It trains the mind through the eye, and the eye through the mind. As the sun colors flowers so does art color life." - John Lubbock

Art can be a great addition to the quarantine schedule! It's a way to keep your kiddos busy and keep that imagination growing. Not to mention the proven enhancements to learning and education.

The staff and instructors at Young Rembrandts South Charlotte are missing our friends, families and especially our students! Schools have closed and we don't know when we'll be back at it, but for now we want to give you some tools to keep your kids calm, happy and creative.

Add these 25 indoor and outdoor activities to your Quarantine Tool Kit and thrive this spring. There are a lot of activities to build brains without being a professional homeschooler... and maybe even give you a minute to yourself.

Managing Stress in Uncertain Times

We're no experts in today's uncertain world. But we do know the calming power of drawing, coloring and being creative.

Let's face it, we're all on edge right now; homeschooling, working, managing our emotions and continually being on top of each other or alone in isolation - it's not easy! Give yourself and your family a break and take time to zone out and create.

YR has online classes, and they're not just for kids! Anyone ages 4-104 can sign up for classes and participate in our colorful and fun learning experience. But if you want something a little lighter we've also stocked a few freebies for your family to color, draw and take the edge off. Get them HERE.
