Your kids art is piling up: paintings, crayon drawings, up-cycled crafts and LEGO builds. No matter how old your kids are, you've been busy this last month. So what do you do with it all? Do you box it up? Do you toss it?
We found ourselves in this same predicament; and then it dawned on us: our family wants to see all of it! So, we combined some virtual visitation with a little bragging and created our family's Pandemic Art Show - complete with naming the artwork and posting it for the family to purchase.
It was really easy to set up - all you need is a large space, open walls and some masking/non-stick tape. We had the kids name their artwork and then we set up our family ZOOM. My oldest introduced the show, told them what they'd be seeing and asked them to please silence their phones. This was great practice for him to work on his public speaking and he was so proud to present his art!
We gave each kid an opportunity to show off their art - and they even were able to "sell" a few pieces. Though, I think they truly undervalued their hard work - it was entirely up to them!
And, a huge bonus is that we now have a new way to stay connected with our family!
